As you mentioned the pinponter basically should put you right on your target. I don't think that the depth should really factor especially once you have dug your plug. I just ordered a Pro 40 and will see how well it does. I have read many reviews about the previous Minelab pinpointers and many claim the tendency to false a lot. The Pro 40 is the same price as the Nokta Accupoint so hopefully it will justify the cost! I have the Carrot along with the Accupoint. The Accupoint is the most featureous pinpointer I have seen.

I had an XP MI4 and found it hard to hear on windy days.

You need the depth especially if your target is hidden in a big plug. I have had that problem before.

I don´t know, but 40 is quite misbehaved. It picks false signals, then freaks out and when I reset it (or to factory reset), the signal is gone. Otherwise if something is there, it finds it. Turn on and off or triple checking makes the searching somewhat cumbersome. Is Garrett more reliable? Thank you!

Fisher is ok as well or xp 6 or 4 as well got the lot had a top keno win for years never had one all ways had coil did the job.

Went hunting with my Vanquish 440 and only found 5 zinc pennies all degraded, one copper penny, and a dime but if there's not much there in the first place, you won't find much no matter how good a detector you have. You never know until you try though.

Lighter than the big coil too 👍 I take and soak things like that play money in apple cider vinegar and it helps with getting the crud off . I just keep it in an old coffee cramer jug and reuse it over and over .

I put one on my 800 and took it water hunting the coil didn't have the proper o-ring and water got in my machine be sure to double check if you water hunt . Good digs

Minelab needs to step up and make their pinpointers heard over their headphones just like with the Garrett.

You still got your Garrett AT Max? I'm going to try and save up and get a Garrett Vortex 9 one of these days. I'm an old retired school teacher living on a pension so it may be awhile before I can get one. Love my AT Pro, Fisher F5, and Tesoros that I still own. Hope you have good hunting with your new machine.

you email minelab to get the pdf user manual. ,i'm trying to sell my 700. (nothing bad with it) found some one who gave up was asking $850 for a nox 900. barely used. ,i offered $750. (sold) with 6" ,11". dont need 2 nox detectors. found the 15" coil ebay. $160. be at the beach this weekend. have a good day.

Be on the lookout for the shooting box. That much lead means they had to be shooting from a fixed spot. Find it and you could find coins and other stuff that fell out of their pockets!

I live in central Arkansas and always looking for new places to detect, I really want to start relic hunting. How can I get with some of the others that do this kind of detecting ? Does toad suck group have a FB or any members that wouldn't mind a tag a long ?

I just started in april 2023, with the legend, i remember it feeling heavy at first and if get tired of swinging after an hour, but im used to it now and can go for hours I recently got a deus one, and havnt used it yet, its supposed to be super light, it has no cables, but it does add batteries Im only 35 so i still have a bit of youthful something or other, not all achy all over, but i am overweight so its probably in my near future, i need to get out and move more, even days where i dont detect i should go out for an hour walk and get some steps in
